What type of wax do you use?

Our candles are created using a blended Coconut Soy Wax. Made of the two most popular plant-based waxes, our choice of wax is intentional to provide you the cleanest burn and strongest scent throw.

Do you use essential oils in your candles?

No. We used fragrance oils. Fragrance oils are a combination of essential oils and synthetic aroma chemicals. Unlike essential oils, fragrance oils sold by candle suppliers are formulated with specific purposes in mind, like candle making. These fragrances are intended to be burned, and so are generally better than essential oils at retaining the integrity and strength of the aroma while it is burning in a candle.  Our fragrance oils contain essential oils, but are not solely scented with essential oils. ALL of our scents are non-toxic and phthalate-free.

What does it mean to be a small-batch candle company?

Each of our candles are hand-poured after an order is placed with us. We do not keep pre-made candles in stock, in an effort to reduce overhead costs and reduce the waste we produce. It also means we launch scent lines on a limited time basis. This means scents from each of our forthcoming seasonal launches will be available during that season and then discontinued once sold out. We will consistently stock our signature scent and may add scents on a full-time basis following their limited run. Again, this helps us reduce waste from unused products and ensures we don’t overwhelm our capacity for time and space.

Why did you choose to donate $1 of each candle sold to the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network?

As the mother of two Autistic boys, it is imperative that I do whatever is in my power to help create a world that is safe and kind for them. ASAN advocates in places of power for the rights and acceptance of Autistic people and is actually run by Autistic people. While I will always do my best to advocate for my boys, I will never fully understand the Autistic experience. Teaching them to advocate for themselves is an important skill I will continue to work on throughout my motherhood journey. Donating to an organization like ASAN is a small way that I can continue to emphasize the importance of a world that accepts all kinds of minds.

Do you offer wholesale options or large orders for events?

At this time, we are not offering wholesale options. We hope this will be an option in the future, once we are up and running smoothly.
